The World Park

Integrated Advertising Experience, Mobile Technology

On Arbor Day weekend in 2010, I turned Central Park into an interactive board game. Using smart phones, the event connected a new generation to the park allowing them to experience and explore the trails like never before. I was co-Creative Director on the project, researched historical park events, and was on-site the weekend of the event offering education and technical assistance.

TV

We created a series of commericals to promote the event.

Parkodes

The World Park is played like a trivia game. Digital QR-Code trees representing 4 categories were custom-designed: Science, History, Art, Culture. Each code corresponds to a question in one of the 4 categories, and each code was positioned in the exact location the question is referencing.

Custom Smart Phone Interface

Players could access the questions by scanning our Parkodes, or by scrolling through the categories on their phones. Each question was answered with a piece of rich-media content from videos to historical photographs and press clippings.

TheWorldPark.com + Interactive Map

Advertising and OOH drove people to the website for event details and to download a QR-Code reader before arriving at the Park.

They could also download a digital map that outlined the paths where the event was held.
